Artist Statement:Recently
I have been exploring the dance between light and shadow, shape and texture,
brilliant color and muted tones, and spontaneity and repetition within my
mosaic work. I have done this by taking close up photographic images of my mosaic
art, revealing the detail and bringing out the subtle colors within the art
glass. Then, I enlarge the selected images and print them using archival inks
on canvas or paper. The resulting fine art prints reflect the hidden beauty of
art glass as expressed through the language of mosaic.
